The next generation of Samsung laptops is (mostly) here.

The new Samsung Galaxy Book4 series is now available for purchase in the U.S. following its initial December rollout in South Korea and an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 last month. The current lineup features two traditional laptops and two 2-in-1 laptops, including the Galaxy Book4 360, the Galaxy Book4 Pro, the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, and the Galaxy Book4 Ultra. A fifth model, the entry-level Galaxy Book4, will make its delayed debut on March 28 with a starting price of just $899, according to a press release.

Samsung has equipped its new Pro and Ultra machines with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, upgraded anti-reflective AMOLED touchscreen displays, a new Knox security chip, and rich AKG Quad speakers; the Ultra model tacks on a NVIDIA GeForce 40 Series GPU. They're also available in a new Moonstone Gray color option. Meanwhile, the pared-down Galaxy Book4 360 swaps in an Intel Core U-Series CPU and a plain, boring Gray colorway in exchange for a longer battery life and a tempting base MSRP of $1,099.99.

All four laptops sport a built-in key for Microsoft's Copilot generative AI assistant, which can summarize and send texts when connected to a Galaxy smartphone.

The Galaxy Book4 series is up for grabs at Amazon, Best Buy, and directly through the Samsung website. Note that Best Buy throws in a free gift card worth up to $200 with your purchase, while Samsung is offering a free 2TB Portable PSSD T7 Shield external drive (worth $219.99) plus a trade-in credit of up to $800.

Read on for a brief overview of each model's specs, pricing, and availability:

Samsung Galaxy Book4 360

The 3.22-pound Galaxy Book4 360 is the most basic option in this bunch, offering a 14th-gen Intel Core U-series processor with Intel Graphics, stereo speakers, and a 15.6-inch Full HD AMOLED touchscreen display. (It's compatible with Samsung's S Pen, but doesn't include one.) It omits Samsung's new Knox security chip, though it does have a fingerprint reader. It also offers the best battery life of any Galaxy Book4 series laptop at up to 22 hours per charge.

The Galaxy Book4 360 starts at $1,099.99 (via Samsung's website) with a mid-range Intel Core 5 120U processor, which bumps up to $1,349.99 if you opt for an Intel Core 7 150U CPU. Both configurations come with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage in a Gray finish.
