With Thanksgiving and winter break holidays approaching fast, it's time to start thinking about travel — whether that means packing up and heading home to the folks or going on a much-deserved vacay. And if you need new luggage, Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days (happening through tomorrow, Oct. 11) is the perfect opportunity to save big.

Shopping for carry-on bags, backpacks, and everything in between can be tricky. Amazon is notorious for inflating its luggage MSRP prices in particular — to make it seem like items are on a much bigger markdown than they actually are. (For more info on inflated MSRPs and other insidious Amazon tactics around shopping events like Prime Day, check out our explainer of some common Prime Day scams.) Also, luggage pricing tends to hover around a given price point for ages, while Amazon portrays the sale as "fresh." A good rule: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. That Samsonite bag can't be $500 off, can it?

Lucky for you, we make sure to rigorously cross-check prices on platforms like camelcamelcamel and intentionally don't include deals that aren't actual deals. So, if it's luggage on sale that you're after, you've come to the right place.

Here are some luggage deals at Amazon that are actual deals (and great ones, for that matter.)

Note: All newly added deals are marked with a , while deals with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low price. Deals with a strikeout were either sold out or expired at the time of writing.

Travel backpack and duffel bag deals

Why we like it

The adidas Excel 6 Backpack is perfect for looking sporty while also having enough space to store all your in-flight must-haves. The backpack has four zippered pockets for good measure, water bottle sleeves on both sides (hydration on plane rides is key!), and even a padded computer sleeve if you need to take your laptop with you. With adidas' signature LoadSpring shoulder straps, carrying even the heaviest of weights in this backpack won't feel like a burden. It's also made of material that you can easily wipe to get rid of annoying stains.
