SAVE 25%: Normally $599, the Apple iPad Air (WiFi, 64GB) is on sale for $449.99 at Best Buy as of Jan. 29 — a $149.01 savings and its lowest price ever.
Apple's iPad Air is reportedly poised for a spring hardware refresh involving the M3 chip and a second larger size, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Needless to say, those interested in upgrading should simply bide their time until it drops (supposedly in March). But if you're good with forgoing next-gen specs in favor of a great deal, head to Best Buy in the immediate future.
As of Jan. 29, the electronics store has the entry-level configuration of the current iPad Air marked down to just $449.99. (Meanwhile, it's completely sold out on Amazon.) That's 25% off its $599 MSRP — a savings of just under $150 — and its lowest price to date, trouncing its Black Friday 2023 deal by $50.
A 2022 release, this fifth-gen iPad Air is a lightweight tablet featuring Apple's M1 chip, a 10.9-inch Retina display, a 12MP rear camera that can capture 4K video, and a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage support; the base model comes with 64GB of storage and no cellular connectivity.
Mashable's Stan Schroder said it's "elegant, powerful, and versatile enough for both casual users and professionals," and noted that it sports "all the key features of the 11-inch iPad Pro." We wish it started with a bit more storage, but overall, it's nice enough to nab a Mashable's Choice Award and a spot on our list of the best tablets.
