Jake Gyllenhaal's Michael Bay impression is wonderfully intense

Apparently the director is also a chronic butt-dialer.

The cast of Michael Bay's Ambulance certainly paint an interesting picture of the director.

In the video above, Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II discuss their first meeting at Bay's house (apparently it's gigantic and contains Transformers memorabilia and indoor trees), before describing the man's habit for accidental Sunday butt-dials (something their co-star Eiza Gonzalez also backs up in her own interview, with an entertaining anecdote about an overheard dog walk).

Gyllenhaal then rounds things off with an impressively intense impression of the time Bay got them back on set to shoot a scene with two helicopters flying under a bridge.

"I was like, 'How the f**k did you get two helicopters out of the middle of nowhere?," says Gyllenhaal. "He's like, 'Don't ask questions.'"
