SAVE $30: As of Feb. 23, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is $30 off the original price in the PlayStation Store (just $39.99). With Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releasing on Feb. 29, now is a great time to work your way through Remake if you haven't already. Note: The PlayStation Store isn't currently listing this price as a discount, but all other retailers are offering 'Remake Intergrade' at the original price of $69.99 as of the time of writing.

The release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is less than a week away, and from what critics are saying about it, the game is going to be fantastic. Honestly, we're not surprised, because Rebirth's predecessor — Final Fantasy VII Remake — is also pretty darn great. If you haven't played it yet, you'll want to catch up before hopping into the sequel. No, this isn't one of those cases where you can skip the first entry and understand what's going on in Rebirth. So don't put yourself in that situation, or else you're going to be so, so lost.

Lucky for you, the first game is on sale in the PlayStation Store, and it's the Intergrade version that comes bundled with the Intermission story DLC. Right now, you can get the full package for just $39.99, which is $30 off the original price. Strangely, the PlayStation Store isn't showing this as a discounted price, but as of the time of writing, every other retailer we've checked is still offering Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for $69.99. So if you're going to pick up a copy, definitely stick with the PlayStation Store.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is familiar yet brand-new in a lot of ways. While it's a retelling of a story that Final Fantasy die-hards know all too well, it's been completely rebuilt from the ground up with next-gen graphics, a new combat system, and never-before-seen story beats that we won't spoil here. The game follows main protagonist Cloud Strife and his band of misfits through the original game's opening Midgar sequence, except now, that section has been expanded into a 30+ hour epic that will have you hooked until the credits roll. You'll also get to play through the Intermission story DLC in this bundle, which follows fan-favorite character Yuffie through her own adventure before she catches up with the crew in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
